EAN Wins the Game

Deutsche Telekom introduced a new era of in-flight connectivity at our #MWC2018 press conference! Manuel Neuer, award-winning goal keeper for soccer team FC Bayern München, spoke live via video from a fast-moving plane high above the skies of Europe. He gave a thumbs-up to our board members Claudia Nemat and Tim Höttges, who talked with him from the stage. It was an impressive demonstration of the quality and stability of our European Aviation Network (EAN) and was an indication of how EAN is set to revolutionize European air travel. In-flight Services of Deutsche Telekom ++ Launch of Lufthansa FlyNet App ++ Today, Lufthansa Group and Deutsche Telekom introduce the Lufthansa FlyNet App, which was developed by us with and for our long-standing airline partner. The app enables passengers to easily access the FlyNet on-board internet on all Wi-Fi-equipped short- and long-haul flights operated by Lufthansa. All they need to do is download the app prior to the flight, register (optional), buy the desired Wi-Fi packages at any time, and start secure and high-speed surfing once connectivity is available on the flight. That's what happened on a recent #Vueling flight, when passengers streamed the match between Bayern München and Paris Saint-Germain.
